The undeniable, massive, final proof of the human created climate change arrived fifteen years ago. Now, an even worse realization keeps coming to our attention. This has been yet another unprecedented summer on the northern hemisphere, and this time it has manifested in both Europe and United States simultaneously.

I have always been opposed to the statement that we're destroying the world for our grandchildren. It is a deliberate distraction fronted by the establishment. We are destroying the world for us all, NOW.

We’re living through climate breakdown today, not in ten years of even five years. TODAY.

Twenty years ago, predictions stated that eighty percent of the ecology in the oceans would collapse in thirty years because of the heating and acidification. That time is now. What we are truly facing is an ecological breakdown to match that of the five or six previous Extinction Events in Earth's history.

Svalbard maps must be constantly redrawn because of melting glaciers, and it happens so fast that the mapmakers can't keep up. When one change is done, ten more has appeared. And it gets progressively worse.

Rome, Italy, a city on the same latitude as New York City hits a new record heat of 42.9 C - two degrees above the previous record. TWO DEGREES ABOVE AN ALREADY STELLAR RECORD measured just two years ago. That's a jump, not a rise, and typical for the dramatic turn of worldwide events in recent months.

It’s the same all over Spain, Greece and Italy. Rhodos and other islands and places in Greece are burning, and the tourists complain over «lousy service», not appreciating the fact that the tourist companies’ employees have to participate in the desperate attempt at putting out the fires…

The wetlands of Santa Olalla in the national park Doñana are also turning dry for the unprecedented second year in a row, also because of insane strawberry production being more profitable than the previous more sustainable Olive production.

The Sahara Desert reached southern Europe decades ago. Now, it’s moving further north with unprecedented speed.

Phoenix, Arizona have had above 110 degrees F during daytime during most of the summer, heat enough to kill off the cactuses in the area, plants made for deserts. Twenty years ago, the city council used to move the thermometers around in a desperate attempt to conceal the truth. That’s no longer possible.

Houston, Texas have had above 100 degrees F most of the summer. Once again, unprecedented. Death Valley, one of the hottest places on the planet is growing even hotter. Life, already on the edge of possibility becomes even harder tested.

In the ocean outside Florida, they have registered temperatures up to 38 degrees C. In the ocean.

Palm trees «melt» in Spain with temperatures hitting 45 degrees C.

Hundreds of deaths have been directly attributed to the heatwaves.

And, as usual, where there aren’t heatwaves, there are floods, also with a high number of casualties.

AND, in late August, yet another heatwave is coming to southern Europe.

And to top that off, Asia has actually had the most extreme rise in temperature, according to WHO (World’s Meteorological Organization). It’s happening everywhere simultaneously.

For years, Derrick Jensen has asked his audiences, «Do you think this culture will undergo a voluntary transformation to a sane and sustainable way of life»? No one ever says yes.

I have previously expressed my contempt for climate deniers. I am happy to repeat myself on that.

This isn't a matter of political disagreement, but of the deniers dangerously denying reality and dragging humanity down with them. Sheer lunacy.

What will you do when the inevitable collapse of civilization comes? Will you hide in your current home and pretend it isn't happening, or will you take active action to survive, or perhaps something between those two extremes, neither here nor there?

Humanity’s time is up. The dice is rolling. It was just a matter of time, and this is it. The sea is rising, the wind is blowing, and social relations are breaking down. The pandemonium is running rampant. Everything is happening simultaneously. Humanity is sucked into a vortex there is no escaping from. There was a choice once, but no longer.
